Integration with your own software
The 3CX PABX integrates seamlessly with your daily computer work thanks to the free 3CX Phone software on your computer.
Besides the integrations mentioned below you can dial a number from any computer application to your fixed phone.
These applications could be web pages, Outlook, Word or Excel files with phone numbers, basically any applications that contains a phone number.
For integration with specific software such as CRM or insurance applications or any other you need the API's provided with the 3CX Pro licenses.
Can it also be hosted in the cloud?
For companies with less people (2 to 3 phones) it can be more advantageous to host your phone system in the cloud and then simply rent the services per month and per extension.
What does that mean, in the cloud?
Well, your PBX no longer resides in your office on a machine but on our servers in a data centre. That means that your PABX sits on our servers next to other phone systems from other customers but which are completely separated from yours of course.

How do I guarantee availability of my 3CX server?
Are you a large SMB or would you prefer increased availability assurance of your 3CX phone system?
In that case Fly By Wire advises the 3CX Enterprise Edition.
This version allow you to set up 2 3CX servers with 1 license in high availability configuration.
That way you don't just get an automatic switch from one PBX to the other in case of server failure. You can also bring down one of your 3CX servers for maintenance without interrupting the phone availability. Your users will never experience any downtime during maintenance.
I want portable phones
Isn't it handy to be mobile with your 3CX extension?
Of course you can use the 3CX Phone on your smartphone via 4G or WiFi. Or you could purchase a couple of WiFi phones if you have full WiFi coverage.
A great alternative that is still widely used, is DECT. These wireless phones have been known for years for their reliability, high coverage and affordability.
You can go for just one DECT antenna and some phones for smaller environments or you can expand to more than 100 antennas and 200 DECT phones with professional solutions. This also works perfectly in production surroundings with a lot of interference.

Connect several applications for insurance management with your 3CX Phone.
Using the 3CX API and the 3CX Phone on your computer connecting to Portima for example shouldn't be a problem.
Keep in mind that in order to integrate with other software, except Outlook, you should choose 3CX Pro. These options are not available in 3CX Standard.
